The Just Mobile Security team is glad to share its experience at the Ekoparty Security Conference 2022.
With its almost 10,000 attendees, Ekoparty Security Conference, 18th Edition is the reference in Latin America in information security. It counted with the collaboration of different spaces like Mobile Hacking Space, AeroSpace², Blockchain Security Space, Hardware Hacking, Bug Bounty Argentina, CyberFinance, and many others to make this conference an excellent meeting place for sharing great moments and knowledge.
As it is the first in-person Ekoparty since the pandemic, we were very excited to attend this conference, where we participated supporting and collaborating with the Mobile Hacking Space, a space created in 2020 that is dedicated to share knowledge, talks, and different activities related to the security of mobile applications, looking to inspire people to introduce themselves into the world of mobile security.
This year, we were honored by the participation of Prateek Gianchandani, who gave a talk about Corelium for Mobile Security, a tool that helps to virtualize iOS and Android devices; Martin Marsicano and Javier Gelós, that dictated a workshop on Secure Development LifeCycle; and Cesar Mario Rodriguez, who dictated a course about Pentesting Android Apps with Frida and a workshop on Game Hacking In Android.
Mobile Hacking Space also presented a CTF with 7 challenges where almost 40 users worldwide participated searching for different hidden flags within the Apps. The 1st place was claimed by Mauro, according to his nickname, who was a participant from Spain, the 2nd place was claimed by MrW0l05zyn from Chile and the 3rd one by Anderson from Colombia.
This was an amazing opportunity to meet people from mobile environments, such as developers, security professionals, and people looking to start with mobile security knowledge.
